a.guery ' signature is Indigo, an ancient dyeing process creating a whole range of blues in a vegetal alchemy .
This blue, part of collective consciousness ( workwear, denim)
a.guery brings it at fever pitch into collection pieces or unique projetcs.
As a reflection to the wardrobe, a.guery works on various commissioned projects, playing on multiple scales and fields, through the prism of mastering colour with textures.
In this commitment, a.guery is considering the value and transmission of Textile and Clothes as a true legacy.
To initiate a cultural and social link, a.guery regularly hosts Worshop sessions for connoisseurs and beginners to experience the dyeing process with spontaneity.
Anaïs Guery graduated from Institut Français de la Mode and Les Arts Décoratifs in Paris.
She launched her studio in 2014,
willing to create an independent wardrobe combining heritage of couture with hand-crafted experimentations.
She learned in emblematic Christian Dior and Balenciaga studios and acquired both traditional and avant-gardist development know-how.
She then attended The London College of Fashion to understand the international market and right after she moved to New York to assist upcoming designers in their creative and business development.
Back in Paris, she joined Cacharel where she designed woven womenswear collections.
Simultaneously she started training and experimenting in the alchemy of indigo blue. Firstly working on "Indigo: The Colour That Changed the World", a book by Catherine Legrand (Editions Thames & Hudson 2013) then learning the vegetal process from Michel Garcia.
In 2015 and 2016 , the collection was invited at Designers Apartment, guest of DEFI and Fédération Française de la couture et du Prêt – à – Porter.
In 2016, show in Korea, and laureate of Mediterranean Fashion Prize 2016.
in 2017 and 2018, Anaïs visits several times Japan to meet Indigo Masters of Sukumo.
