Indigo and Lacquer are both vegetal colored coatings that protect objects.

However, as time passes by, the coating comes off slowly but certainly.

Our collaboration explores the idea of physics ‘ENTROPY’ : the irreversible transformation of matter at one specific temperature / moment.

Yohko creates a pair of black lacquered objects, concave and convex. They have cracks as if they were born by expanding and contracting forces.

Anaïs creates a set of indigo dyed jackets which color has been altered by time and light.

Sophisticated yet unfinished , they invite to see and feel impermanence.
