Ban Inoue a été fondé en 1987 pour perpétuer un atelier familial datant de la période Edo (17eme-19eme siècle !)

L'atelier crée des vêtements en coton extrêmement fin, ramie et lin traditionnels de la région de Nara : les zarashi

Aujourdh'ui, Ban Inoue recrée un matériau naturel à partir de ses propres chutes de coupe.

Les vêtements sont cousus et vendus dans leurs boutiques, qui proposent aussi une cantine vegan de saison

Ban Inoue was founded in 1987 to perpetuate a family business running since Edo Period ( 17th-19th century !)

The family company is specialized in Nara-Zarashi, producing fine light coton, ramie and linen fabrics.

Today, Ban Inoue creates its own material by upcycling coton from its own production waste, making thread from it, then recreating a newly woven textile.

Clothes are sewn and sold locally in their own boutiques in Japan.

Ban Inoue also hosts restaurants cooking fresh seasonal vegetables
